LIBRARIES

There are six public lilbraries In Mazatlán that count on a heap superior to 27 thousand books, properly ordered for their consultation work. The consultation in the libraries is a gratuitous service that the municipal government offers to the population, through the Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlán.

The main objective of the municipal libraries is to facilitate the education-learning process and to foment the reading, when offering to students and readers in general, an important book collection classified by matters, authors and times.

The organization of courses and factories comprises of the made activities in the libraries to approach children and young people to the reading. The books, between which they appear novels, stories and poemarios of Mexican authors and outstanding writers of universal Literature, can be asked for in quality of loan, previous registry of the personal data of the applicant.
