The Plazuela Machado will be the site on Tuesday, April 29, of a celebration marking the International Day of the Dance.
The Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art, the dance company Delfos and the Professional School of the Dance of Mazatlan invite the public to come and enjoy this dance fiesta filled with excitement and rhythm. The celebration begins at 7:30 p.m., and will include a dance site on each corner of the plaza, dance in the trees, dance on the benches and in the garden areas. The program continues at 8:30 with exhibitions of ballet, flamenco, folkloric and urban dancing. This program will take place in front of the Portales de Canobbio (the arches). For a piece de resistance, a general dance will ensue with music played by the Falsa Orquesta Cubana. More than 60 dancers will participate in the formal program, ready to share with onlookers their passion for the dance. This entertainment is designed to show off the great diversity of types of dance activity in this community. The International Day of the Dance has been celebrated worldwide for 40 years, and Mexico has taken part in it for the past 20 years. Departamento de Prensa y Difusión Av.
