Delfos will participate in the International Festival of the Arts inSouth Africa

Delfos Contemporary Dance.Delfos is about to embark on a tour that will take the contemporary dance group to the International Festival of the Arts of South Africa. Upon their return to Mexico, they will stage a gala performance at the Palace of Fine Arts (Bellas Artes) in Mexico City to celebrate their 15 years of artistic life.

Considered the most important contemporary dance company in Mexico, Delfos Danza Contemporanea will mount its production of Rincones deLuz (corners of light) which has won high praise from the critics.

The National Arts Festival of Grahamstown South Africa is a major event on the calendar of South Africa and the largest celebration ofthe arts on the African continent. This year it is scheduled for June28 to July 7, when many nations will join in on the festival.

The Mexican group, staying in that country from July 2-24, will participate in the festival and also perform in Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Returning home, their performance in Mexico City is set for July 19. This production will include the Bolero by Maurice Ravel and Nissi Dominus as well as a couple of other choreographies that have been presented here on Delfos's home stage at the Angela Peralta Theater.

They also have been performed at the International Cervantino Festivaland the network of dance festivals of the Northwest. This program hasbeen lauded by the critics as the major dance spectacular at the XV Festival of the Dance and as one of the three best presentations at the Cervantino Festival of 2006.
